Airborne Contracting
Survey Design
We will discuss your requirements, objectives and timetable to determine the optimum specification for your airborne survey. Factors under consideration will include your targets, geology, budget, location, size of area, terrain, climate, cultural and geological noise sources, jurisdiction, etc.. As a result, the geophysical instrumentation, flying height, flightline and tieline separation, survey platforms, etc. will be selected to optimize your results.
Bid document preparation, contractor selection, and contract preparation
The appropriate bid documents will be prepared and circulated to the qualified airborne survey contractors. All proposals received will be reviewed, and the contractor with the best technical and price proposal selected. PGW will then negotiate an airborne survey contract on your behalf and to protect your interests. PGW maintains an entirely independent relationship with all survey contractors. PGW is very familiar with the capabilites of the various contractors, and their suitability to particular surveys.
On-site survey monitoring and quality control
PGW will supply a qualified geophysicist to monitor the survey contractor's activities and to review the data collected on a daily basis for quality and adherence to the contract specifications. At your descretion, our geophysicist can act as your Project Manager for the airborne survey. Our geophysicist will be equipped with the suitable computing hardware and software, so as to review the digital data and undertake prelimnary processing and interpretation in the field. This allows for adjustment to the survey program (e.g. flying primary areas in more detail) and focusing of initial ground follow-up. It also provides an excellent opportunity to interact with your explorationists. The monitoring and quality control aspect continues with review of the post-survey data compilation and map production by the survey contractor.
Data enhancement and interpretation
PGW provides a wealth of tools to extract the most from your geophysical data. We boast extensive experience from work in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Australia, exploring for precious metals, base metals and gemstones in a wide variety of geological terrains. We employ an approach that is tailored to your exploration targets, and integrate the geophysics with your geology, geochemistry, satellite imagery and other geoscience data. Processed geophysical maps, interpretation maps and other cartography are prepared in digital form. Full reporting includes selection of exploration targets and recommendations for follow-up.
